The red sea maintain World Jr Team Crush title

ISLAMABAD- Egypt retained the WSF men's World Junior Team Squash Championship title after thrashing second seeds Pakistan 2-0 in the final played at Wanderers Sports Club, Windhoek, Namibia.
It was Egypt's third consecutive title and overall fifth junior title, equaling the record of Australia, who were the event's first champions way back in 1980.
It was a cakewalk for the favorites, as they were pushed all the way by the second seeds in the sixth successive final between the world's two powerhouse squash nations. Pakistan's top junior player Tayyab Aslam started the first match against Omar Elatmas. Both the players played their hearts out and fought for each and every point. The game kept on swinging from one way to another before Omar managed to win the game 12-10.
In the second game, both the players were not ready to concede without a fight. Once again it was Omar who managed to control nerves and handled the pressure to take the game 12-10. After losing two games in a row, Tayyab played one of the best games of the event and clinched the do-or-die game 11-6, but once again, he ran out of gas when it mattered the most, as Omar bounced back in style after surviving some close moments in the fourth game which he won 11-8 to give Egypt 1-0 lead.
It was all left on Syed Ali Mujtaba Bokhari to battle it out and help the country stay in the final. Ali took little time before settling down in the match but his opponent Youssef Aboul-Makarim played superbly and won the first game 11-7. Ali then bounced back to take the second game 11-9, before losing the third 3-11. Ali then played aggressively and won the fourth game 11-7 to take the grueling encounter into the fifth and final game. Both the players displayed all the shots in their book, but it was Youssef who prevailed and took the decisive game 11-9 in 62 minutes to give Egypt their third title in a row amid wild celebrations among their supporters.
In the third-fourth position match, Spain disposed off Malaysia 2-0 to bag the third position while England finished fifth after defeating India 2-1.
It is pertinent to mention here that the main reason behind Pakistan defeat is lack of professionalism which is a key to success. Only those deserve victories and titles who follow merit and professionalism and try to facilitate their players, who are the real fighters and bread-earners for the federations and associations, with latest and modern facilities and prefer the players to other trivial things and vested interests.
The PSF must take decisions in the best interest of the players, the game and the country. There is a dire need of assuring top squash players of the country of lucrative jobs which may help them not to worry about their bread earning rather help them fully focus on their game and win glories for the countries at international level.
