Kohistan Growth Power to be set up to cope with drought

KARACHI: After announcing that a famine had hit Tharparkar, the Sindh govt has decided to set up a Kohistan Development Power to deal with famine like situations in the place.
While speaking at a press meeting on Thursday, Sindh Information Reverend Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the govt was also trying to control the scenario in Tharparkar where rice will be allocated for free. They will, he said, also ensure that people have accessibility safe and clean h2o and healthcare features.
“Reverse Osmosis Plants and hand pushes are being set up in the place,” he said. “The Sindh govt is providing family members with solar lovers and power in places where they don’t have accessibility any.” He included that the Pakistan Individuals Party chair Asif Ali Zardari was tracking the scenario personally and activity would be taken against irresponsible authorities.

Memon, who is also the Local Government Reverend, said that his division had established a tracking panel including governmental workers, investors, reporters and other stakeholders of Karachi to observe the supply of h2o in different parts of the town. “This panel will suggest what activity can be taken against authorities at the Karachi Water and Sewer Board (KWSB) who are accountable of crime,” he said. “The panel will come up with an equation on how to spread h2o and how to observe it in different places of the town.” He included that they will perform an neutral query against KWSB authorities believed to be involved in h2o robbery.
